The use of a photo box for employee photos

The employees in your company have the opportunity to create and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed or periodically changing location (e.g. in the dining room or the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not required on site.
You give your teams the chance to identify themselves completely around the clock with their personal employee photo.

The personal photos can be automatically cut to the best format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and, if desired, saved in various shapes and aspect ratios.

The solution

You position a photo booth perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID card or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo box, just like with a passport photo machine, and see the instructions for the necessary actions on the display.

The monitor serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as B. Employee ID, first name, last name and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up in such a way that the data can be read immediately from the employee ID card. The employee data collected in this way will later become part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal / external use of the image can also be displayed.

After the employee portrait has been taken, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or more backgrounds specified by you. The head is also located for each photo, scaled to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.

The recording is saved in a size and format you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved photo and the internal employee data record via the file name. We would be happy to support your IT department in specifying the import interface.

A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as options.
The image output can take place in many dimensions at the same time.

How does the employee get their photo?

So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory can benefit from the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to choose from to get his photo as a file.

1. Download from an online gallery
   At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to download his original photo and the different sizes for the different target systems.
2. Download via QR code from an offline gallery
   The Photobooth provides a private WLAN which the employee must dial into.
   At the end of the sequence, a QR code will appear on the screen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the employee can download their images. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.
3. Entry of the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
   The photo taken is sent directly to the employee's email address.

The need for investment

The price for purchasing a photo box optimized in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is already worthwhile for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course there is also the possibility to test the system in advance on a rental basis for 650 € + 1 € / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be offset against the subsequent purchase if the photo box is taken over directly.
