The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the option of creating and/or updating their personal employee photo at a fixed location or at regularly alternating locations (e.g. in the casino or company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this is achieved in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional staff on site.
You give your teams the chance to identify themselves at any time to 100% with their own employee photo.
The personal photos can be independently optimized to the optimal format, removed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in several formats and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You position a photo box optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID card or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo booth and see the instructions for the necessary actions on the monitor, similar to the photo booth.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as e.g. B. Employee identifier, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo booth can also be set up so that the data can be read directly from the employee ID card. The employee data recorded in this way then becomes an element of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal / external use of the image can also be displayed.
After photographing the employee portrait, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or many backgrounds specified by you. The head of each photo is also analyzed, scaled to a specified size and placed in a specified position on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and format you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison between the saved image and the internal employee data record takes place via the name of the image. We would be happy to support your IT department in defining the connection.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an extra extension.
The image output can take place synchronously in various dimensions.

Logically, each file can also be “personalized” with a company logo and/or the name and position of the employee can be immediately visible on the image.

How does the employee get the picture?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to get his picture as a file.
- Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photobooth provides a private WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the employee can save his recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
In this case, the captured photo will be sent to the employee's email address immediately. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed on the screen or printed out, which the employee can use to download his original photo and the various sizes for the various target systems.
Other deployment options
To get the most out of your investment, you have the following options:
