The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company are given the opportunity to create and/or update their own employee photo at a fixed location or at a periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is achieved in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional staff on site.
You give your teams the option to always identify themselves to 100% with their personal employee photo.
The staff photos are automatically optimized to the best format, freed from annoying elements in the background and, if desired, saved in different sizes and aspect ratios.
One possible solution
You position a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees will sit down in front of the photo box in a similar way to a passport photo machine and see the instructions for the necessary actions on the screen.
The monitor serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. Personnel identifier, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up so that the data can be read directly from the employee ID card. The data recorded in this way is then subsequently an element of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen can also be displayed with a release option for internal / external use of the recording.
Following the recording of the employee portrait, the background of the recording can be automatically replaced with one or different backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is determined, scaled to a specified size and placed in a specified position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio specified by you (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved image and the internal employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to help your IT department clarify the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an extra extension.
The image output can take place synchronously in different sizes.
So you always have the best possible photo for
the CRM system, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
etc. at hand.
Of course, each file can also be "branded" with a logo and/or the name and position of the employee will be included in the picture.

How does the staff get their photo?
To ensure that the CRM system or Active Directory is not the only one to benefit from the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to choose from to get their photo digitally as well.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the employee can use to download his original recording and the various versions for the various target systems. - Entry of the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides a private WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery from which the employee can download his pictures. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.

The price for the purchase of a photobox adapted in this way starts at around € 4,400 plus VAT and pays off for companies with around 100 employees.
Of course, there is also the option to test the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the system is retained.
