What should be achieved?
The workforce in your company has the opportunity to create and / or update individual employee photos at a fixed or periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that additional employees are not needed on site.
You give your staff the opportunity to always fully identify themselves with their personal employee photo.
The staff photos are automatically adapted to the appropriate format, removed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in different sizes and aspect ratios.
The solution
You place a photo booth set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo booth, similar to the passport photo machine, and read the operating instructions for the necessary steps on the display.
The screen serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as B. Employee ID, name, surname and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photobox can also be configured in such a way that the data can simply be read from the employee ID. The data collected in this way are then a component of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal / external use of the photo can also be set up.
Following the photograph of the employee picture, the background of the photo can be automatically replaced with one or many of the backrounds you have specified. The head is also analyzed for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The recording is saved in a size and aspect ratio defined by you (e.g. square for the ActiveDirectory). The name of the file is used to compare the photographed portrait and the internal employee data set. We would be happy to support your IT department in determining the import interface.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional extension.
The image output can take place at the same time in different dimensions.
So you always have the right photo for
Outlook, WhatsApp & Co, Facebook, XING, LinkedIn, the CRM system
etc. within easy reach.
Logically, each file can also be “branded” with company logos and / or the name and position of the employee can be immediately on the picture.

How does the photographed person get the photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the ActiveDirectory can benefit from the new photos, there are three different ways for the workforce to get their picture digitally.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the staff can use to copy down their original recording and the different sizes for the various target systems. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photobooth provides a private WLAN that the workforce has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery in which the staff can upload their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path only works in the immediate vicinity of the Photo Box. - Enter the e-mail address at the end of the photo sequence.
The captured photo is then sent to the employee's mailbox.

The need for investment
The price for purchasing a photo box adapted in this way starts at around € 4,400 plus VAT and pays off for organizations with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the opportunity to test the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the later purchase if the photo box is kept immediately.
Customer ratings
Since the system was introduced in 2019, two photo boxes have been permanently installed in Germany and Zurich.
