The mission goal
The employees in your company have the opportunity to create and/or update their own employee photo at a fixed location or at alternating locations (e.g. in the dining room or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not needed on site.
You give your employees the option to fully identify themselves at any time with their own employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cut to the optimal format, freed from annoying elements in the background and saved in many dimensions and aspect ratios if desired.
The solution
You place a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the personnel department, at the ID office or at the entrance in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees will sit down in front of the photobooth, analogously to a passport photo machine, and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the monitor.
The monitor serves as a touch screen in parallel as an input terminal for the required information such as e.g. B. Employee ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photobooth can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read in immediately from the employee ID card. The information recorded in this way is then later part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a data protection screen with a checkbox for internal/external use of the employee portrait can also be set up.
After photographing the employee portrait, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or several backgrounds specified by you. The head is also located for each photo, scaled to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and aspect ratio specified by you (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the photographed image and the in-house employee data record via the file name. We would be happy to help your IT department specify the interface.
A biometric check and a cut for a biometric ID photo are available as an extra extension.
The image output can take place in many dimensions at the same time.
So you always have the right photo for
XING, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp & Co, the CRM system, Twitter
etc. lying ready.
Of course, each file can also be “branded” with logos and/or the employee's name and position will be immediately visible on the image.

How did the staff get the photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the ActiveDirectory can benefit from the new recordings, the employee can choose between three different ways to get his photo as a file.
- Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. The QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the employee can copy his recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to copy his original photo and the various sizes for the different target systems. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox.
Other deployment options
In order to get the most out of your investment, you have the following options:

- Recording of biometric passport photos and ID photos

The cost frame
The cost of buying a photo box adapted in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is worthwhile for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the opportunity to test the system beforehand on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the later purchase if the system is purchased immediately.
Customer ratings
Since the implementation of the system in 2019, two photo boxes have been set up permanently in this country and in Zurich.
