The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the opportunity to photograph and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed location or at regularly changing locations (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional personnel on site.
You give your employees the opportunity to always fully identify themselves with their individual employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cut to the best format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and, if desired, saved in a number of shapes and aspect ratios.
One possible solution
You position a photo box perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the personnel department, at the ID office or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary actions on the display, just like with the photo booth.
The screen serves as a touch screen in parallel as an input terminal for the required information such as e.g. B. Employee ID, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be configured so that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The information collected in this way is later part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a data protection screen can also be set up with a confirmation option for internal / external use of the image.
After the photograph of the employee picture has been taken, the background of the photo can be automatically exchanged for one or different backgrounds specified by you. The head of each photo is also analyzed, adjusted to a specified size and positioned at a specified location on the final image.
The recording is saved in a size and aspect ratio specified by you (eg square for the Active Directory). The name of the picture is used to compare the portrait taken with the in-house employee data record. We would be happy to support your IT department in clarifying the import interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as additional extensions.
The image output can be in different formats at the same time.
So you always have the right photo for
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the CRM system
etc. ready.
Of course, each file can also be "branded" with company logos and/or the employee's name and position can be immediately visible on the image.

How does the staff get their photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to get his photo digitally.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to download his original photo and the various sizes for the various target systems. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is sent directly to the employee's email inbox. - Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photo box provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code will appear on the screen. That QR code leads to the offline gallery where the employee can load his pictures. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.

The cost frame
The investment for the purchase of a photo box optimized in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and pays off for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the possibility to try out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the system is purchased immediately.
