The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the opportunity to photograph and/or update the individual employee photo at a fixed location or at a location that changes on a regular basis (e.g. in the dining room or the company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not needed on site.
This gives your staff the option of fully identifying themselves around the clock with their own employee photo.
The staff photos can be automatically cut to the right format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in various dimensions and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You position a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photo box, similar to the photo booth, and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the display.
The monitor serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as B. Personnel identifier, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read directly from the company ID card. The information recorded in this way is later part of the file name of the employee photo taken.

After the employee picture has been photographed, the background of the recording can be automatically replaced with one or several backgrounds specified by you. The head is also located for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio you specify (eg square for Active Directory). The file name is used to compare the portrait taken with the in-house employee data record. We would be happy to help your IT department determine the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an option.
The image output can take place in different sizes at the same time.

How did the staff come to the picture?
To ensure that the CRM system or Active Directory is not the only one to benefit from the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to receive their picture as a file.
- Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The Photobox provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery where the employee can download his photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
Then the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed on the screen or printed out, which the employee can use to copy his original recording and the various sizes for the different target systems.
