The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company are given the opportunity to photograph and / or update their personal employee photo at a fixed or regularly alternating location (e.g. in the dining room or in the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that additional employees are not needed on site.
You give your staff the option to identify themselves to 100% around the clock with their own employee photo.
The staff photos can be automatically adapted to the appropriate format, removed from annoying elements in the background and, if desired, saved in many dimensions and aspect ratios.
The solution
You position a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees are allowed to sit in front of the photo box, similar to a passport photo machine, and read the instructions for the required actions on the screen.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as B. Personnel number, first name, last name and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data can simply be read from the company ID card. The employee data recorded in this way then becomes a component of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a release option for internal / external use of the employee profile can also be displayed.
After the employee portrait has been taken, the background of the picture can be automatically replaced with one or various backgrounds that you have specified. The head is also determined for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed on the final image at a specified location.
The photo is saved in a size and format determined by you (e.g. square for the ActiveDirectory). The file name is used to compare the saved photo and the in-house employee data record. We would be happy to help your IT department specify the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an additional expansion stage.
The image output can happen at the same time in various sizes.

Logically, each file can also be “personalized” with logos and / or the name and position of the employee can also be visible on the picture.

How does the photographed person get the photo?
So that the CRM system or the ActiveDirectory alone does not benefit from the new images, employees can choose between three different ways of receiving their photo digitally.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed out on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to download the original photo and the different formats for the various target systems. - Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photobox provides a private WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery in which the employee can download his photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path only goes in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Enter the e-mail address at the end of the photo sequence.
The captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox.

The need for investment

1/2 of the rent will be offset against the later purchase if the photo box is bought directly.
