What should be achieved?
The employees in your company have the opportunity to photograph and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed or periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or human resources department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional personnel on site.
You give your employees the option to always identify themselves 100% with their own employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically optimized to the ideal format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in a number of shapes and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You position a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID card office or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary actions on the display, just like with the photo booth.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. Personnel identifier, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read directly from the employee ID card. The employee data collected in this way then becomes part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen can also be displayed with a confirmation option for internal/external use of the employee portrait.
After photographing the employee picture, the background of the recording can be automatically exchanged for one or different backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is identified, scaled to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The recording is saved in a size and aspect ratio specified by you (eg square for the Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved photo and the in-house employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to help your IT department define the import interface.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as additional extensions.
The image output can take place simultaneously in various sizes.
So you always have the best possible photo for

Logically, each file can also be “personalized” with the help of the company logo and/or the name and position of the employee will be included in the image.

How does the employee get his picture?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to choose to receive his photo as a file.
- Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photo box provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery from which employees can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Entry of the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
Then the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed on the screen or printed out, which the employee can use to copy his original photo and the different versions for the various target systems.
Other deployment options
To get the most out of your purchase, you have the following options:

The need for investment
The price for purchasing a photo box perfected in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is therefore worthwhile for organizations with around 100 or more employees.
Of course, there is also the chance to try out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the later purchase if the photo box is taken over directly.
Customer ratings
Since the system was introduced in 2019, two photo boxes have been permanently installed in Germany and Zurich.
