The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the chance to photograph and / or update the individual employee photo at a fixed or regularly alternating location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not needed on site.
You give your workforce the chance to identify themselves completely at any time with their personal employee photo.
The staff photos can be automatically adjusted to the optimal format, freed from annoying elements in the background and, if desired, saved in various formats and aspect ratios.
Our proposed solution
You place a photo box optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees will stand in front of the photo box, similar to a passport photo machine, and read the operating instructions for the required actions on the monitor.
The screen serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as B. Personal identification, first name, last name and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up so that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The data recorded in this way then becomes an element of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen can also be displayed with a confirmation option for internal / external use of the image.
Following the photograph of the employee portrait, the background of the recording can be automatically exchanged for one or various backgrounds you have specified. The head of each photo is also analyzed, scaled to a specified size and placed on the final image at a defined point.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you have specified (e.g. square for the ActiveDirectory). The name of the file is used to compare the saved photo and the internal employee data record. We would be happy to support your IT department in defining the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an extra expansion stage.
The image output can take place at the same time in different dimensions.

How does the employee get the photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the ActiveDirectory can enjoy the new photos, there are three different ways for employees to get their photos digitally.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed out on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to copy down his or her original photo and the various sizes for the various target systems. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is then sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The Photo Box provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. That QR code leads to an offline gallery in which the employee can load his recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this path only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.
Other uses
In order to make the best possible use of the acquisition, you have the following options:
