The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the opportunity to photograph and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed location or at alternating locations (e.g. in the dining room or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not needed on site.
You give your staff the option to always identify themselves to 100% with their personal employee photo.
The personal photos can be automatically optimized to the best format, removed from annoying elements in the background and optionally saved in different dimensions and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You can place a photo booth that is perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID card or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees will sit down in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the display, just like with the passport photo machine.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. Employee ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be configured so that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The data recorded in this way is then part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a release option for internal/external use of the image can also be displayed.
After photographing the employee picture, the background of the picture can be automatically replaced with one or different backgrounds specified by you. The head is also located for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved photo and the internal employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to help your IT department determine the connection.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional expansion stage.
The image output can take place simultaneously to some extent.
So you always have the perfect photo for

Of course, each file can also be "branded" with the company logo and/or the name and position of the employee can be immediately visible on the image.

How does the employee get the photo?
To ensure that the CRM system or Active Directory alone does not get hold of the new photos, the employee can choose from three different ways of getting his photo digitally.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed on the screen or printed out, which the employee can use to load his original photo and the various formats for the different target systems. - Enter the e-mail address at the end of the photo sequence.
In doing so, the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides its own WLAN that the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the employee can download his recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.

To get the most out of your investment, you have the following options:

The cost frame
The investment for the purchase of a photo box adapted in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is therefore worthwhile for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the chance to try out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be offset against the later purchase if the system is adopted immediately.
Customer ratings
Since the system was introduced in 2019, two systems have been installed permanently in Switzerland and in Zurich.
