The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the opportunity to create and/or update their own employee photo at a fixed or periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional staff on site.
You give your teams the chance to identify themselves completely with their personal employee photo at any time.
The personal photos are automatically adapted to the ideal format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in several dimensions and aspect ratios.
The solution
You position a photo box perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the entrance in a relaxed corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the screen, just like with the photo booth.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. Personnel number, first name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is simply read in from the business card. The data recorded in this way then subsequently becomes part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal/external use of the employee portrait can also be displayed.
After the employee photo has been taken, the background of the photo can be automatically replaced with one or various backgrounds specified by you. The head of each photo is also analyzed, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The recording is saved in a size and format specified by you (eg square for the Active Directory). A comparison is made between the recorded image and the internal employee data record via the file name. We would be happy to help your IT department specify the connection.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional expansion stage.
The image output can take place in different formats at the same time.

Of course, each file can also be "personalized" using company logos and/or the name and position of the employee can appear directly on the image.

How does the photographed person get their photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory gets the benefit of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to get his picture as a file.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to load his original photo and the different sizes for the different target systems. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
Then the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photobox provides a private WLAN that the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. The QR code leads to an offline gallery where employees can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.
