The use of a photo box for employee photos
The field staff in your company have the option of creating and/or updating their personal employee photo at a fixed location or at regularly alternating locations (e.g. in the dining room or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional personnel on site.
You give your workforce the option to identify themselves to 100% at any time with their individual employee photo.
The staff photos are automatically cut to the right format, removed from annoying elements in the background and optionally saved in different dimensions and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You place a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the human resources department, at the ID card office or at reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photobooth in a similar way to the passport photo machine and see the instructions for the necessary steps on the screen.
The screen serves as a touch screen in parallel as an input terminal for the required data such as e.g. B. Employee ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data can simply be read from the business card. The information collected in this way is then subsequently an element of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a data protection screen can also be set up with a release option for internal/external use of the employee portrait.
After the employee portrait has been taken, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or various backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head is located for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a specified position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio specified by you (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the stored portrait and the internal employee data record via the name of the picture. We would be happy to help your IT department determine the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as additional extensions.
The image output can take place in parallel in several forms.

Of course, each file can also be "personalized" with company logos and/or the designation and position of the employee will be visible on the image.

How does the employee get their photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the sales representative to get his photo digitally.

The photo taken is immediately sent to the employee's e-mail inbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The Photo Box provides its own WLAN that the sales representative has to dial into.
At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. The QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the field worker can save his pictures. In contrast to the online gallery, this path only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the field worker can use to load his original photo and the different sizes for the different target systems.

The price for purchasing a photo box adapted in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is already worthwhile for organizations with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the possibility to try out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the system is retained directly.
Customer ratings
Since the implementation of the system in 2019, two photo boxes have been set up permanently in this country and in Zurich.
