The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the option of taking a photo of their personal employee photo and/or updating it at a fixed location or at a periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is achieved in the form of a self-service process and that additional employees are not needed on the spot.
You give your employees the opportunity to identify themselves to 100% around the clock with their personal employee photo.
The personal photos can be automatically adjusted to the ideal format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in many formats and aspect ratios.
One possible solution
You place a photo box that is perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID office or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees will stand in front of the photo box in the same way as with the passport photo machine and see the instructions for the necessary actions on the screen.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photobooth can also be configured in such a way that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The information collected in this way then becomes part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen can also be set up with a sharing option for internal/external use of the photo.
After photographing the employee portrait, the background of the photo can be automatically replaced with one or various backgrounds specified by you. The head is also located for each photo, scaled to a specified size and placed in a specified location on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and aspect ratio defined by you (eg square for Active Directory). The name of the picture is used to compare the portrait taken with the internal employee data record. We would be happy to support your IT department in determining the import interface.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are also available.
The image output can take place at the same time in different dimensions.

Of course, each file can also be “personalized” with company logos and/or the employee's name and position can appear directly on the image.

How does the photographed person get his picture?
So that the CRM system or Active Directory alone does not get hold of the new pictures, there are three different ways for employees to get their picture as a file.
- Enter the e-mail address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is sent directly to the employee's e-mail inbox. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photobooth provides a private WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery from which employees can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to copy his original photo and the various sizes for the different target systems.

The need for investment
The price for purchasing a photobooth adapted in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is therefore worthwhile for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the opportunity to try out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the photo box is purchased directly.
