The use of a photo box for employee photos
The staff in your company have the option of photographing and/or updating their own employee photo at a fixed location or at regularly changing locations (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that no extra staff is needed on site.
You give your workforce the opportunity to identify themselves to 100% at any time with their individual employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cropped to the optimal format, freed from annoying elements in the background and optionally saved in a number of dimensions and aspect ratios.
The solution
You position a photo booth that is perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID card or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees will sit down in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the monitor, as with the photo booth.
The monitor serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as B. Employee ID, name, surname and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up in such a way that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The information collected in this way is later part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a privacy screen can also be presented with a confirmation option for internal/external use of the employee portrait.
After photographing the employee portrait, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or many backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is analyzed, scaled to a specified size and positioned at a specified location on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison between the saved portrait and the internal employee data record takes place via the file name. We would be happy to support your IT department in determining the import interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an extra expansion stage.
The image output can take place at the same time in different dimensions.

How does the employee get the photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the staff to choose to also get their picture digitally.
- Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photo box provides a private WLAN which the staff has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery where staff can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the immediate vicinity of the photo booth. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the staff can use to download their original photo and the different sizes for the various target systems. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
In this case, the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox.
