The use of a photo box for employee photos
The staff in your company have the option of creating and/or updating their own employee photo at a fixed location or at a rotating location (e.g. in the dining room or company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that additional employees are not needed on site.
You give your employees the chance to always identify themselves to 100% with their personal employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cut to the appropriate format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in various sizes and aspect ratios.
A suggested solution
You place a photo box set up for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the HR department, at the ID card office or at the reception in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo box in a similar way to a passport photo machine and read the operating instructions for the necessary steps on the screen.
The screen serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as B. Personnel number, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read in immediately from the company ID card. The data collected in this way is then part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a release option for internal/external use of the employee portrait can also be displayed.
After the employee portrait has been taken, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or many backgrounds specified by you. The head is also determined for each photo, scaled to a specified size and positioned at a specified location on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and aspect ratio defined by you (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved portrait and the internal employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to support your IT department in clarifying the import interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as options.

How does the employee get the photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory gets the benefit of the new photos, there are three different ways for the staff to get their picture digitally.

The Photo Box provides a private WLAN that the staff has to dial into.
At the end of the recording, a QR code is displayed on the screen. That QR code leads to the offline gallery from which the staff can download their recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the staff can use to download their original photo as well as the various versions for the various target systems.
