The use of a photo box for employee photos

The employees in your company have the opportunity to create and / or update their own employee photo at a fixed or alternating location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or HR department).
It is essential that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that extra personnel are not needed on the spot.
This gives your workforce the chance to fully identify themselves at any time with their own employee photo.

The staff photos are automatically adapted to the appropriate format, freed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in different sizes and aspect ratios.

One possible solution

You position a photo box optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID card or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There the employees can stand in front of the photo box, similar to a passport photo machine, and see the operating instructions for the required steps on the display.

The monitor serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary data such as B. Personal identification, name, family name and / or date of birth.
Alternatively, the Photo Box can also be configured so that the data can be read in directly from the employee ID card. The information collected in this way then becomes part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal / external use of the recording can also be displayed.

Following the photograph of the employee portrait, the background of the recording can be automatically replaced with one or different backgrounds you have specified. The head is also determined for each photo, scaled to a specified size and positioned on the final image at a defined position.

The recording is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you have specified (e.g. square for the ActiveDirectory). The name of the picture is used to compare the picture taken with the in-house employee data record. We would be happy to support your IT department in defining the connection.

A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as additional extensions.
The image output can take place in various sizes at the same time.

Of course, each file can also be “personalized” with the help of the company logo and / or the name and position of the employee can be immediately included on the picture.

How does the employee get his picture?

So that not only the CRM system or the ActiveDirectory can benefit from the new images, employees can choose between three different ways to get their photo as a file.

1. Download from an online gallery
   At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed or printed out on the screen, which the employee can use to download the original photo and the different sizes for the various target systems.
2. Download from an offline gallery via QR code
   The photo box provides a private WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
   At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. That QR code leads to the offline gallery in which the employee can copy down his recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the direct vicinity of the photo box.
3. Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
   The captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox.
